About RGD Reviews
RGD reviews is a work in progress. We have spent 100s of hours following trainers, reading books studying legal aspects, getting certified as a USCCA concealed carry & home defense trainer, and gathering information. After weeding out lots of bad information. Then later taking our concealed carry class. We knew that new handgun owners needed a better way to find information. Keep in mind Real Gun Defense is just getting started. We have a lot of information to get out but it takes hours sometimes days to verify and write an article.
Due to the high legal risk of owning a firearm and constant attacks from anti-gun groups. Real Gun Defense is bringing you verified training information for free. Our articles will not only teach you the basics needed to train with a handgun but also videos from actual trainers showing you their techniques.
We will give you a complete detailed walkthrough on how to buy your first handgun, basics of aiming, and how to protect yourself legally with the USCCA. Including advanced drills and technics from actual trainers. We will include articles from current self-defense situations. Along with a review of some of the proposed & current laws.
Information Should stay free
With all the legal ramifications and groups opposed to gun owners. It has become crucial that gun owners stick together. You will not find political views at RGD Reviews. The only view we see is red, white, and blue. It is the gun owner’s division that has allowed so many restrictions that don’t work to be made into laws.
While we strongly agree with people paying trainers for their knowledge. We find ourselves in a unique time. People across America are buying guns at an alarming rate. It is now more than ever that information needs to get out to the public. The lack of training and quality information is not only dangerous to the new gun owner but to all gun owners.
Anti-gun advocates will use almost everything a legal gun owner does wrong to push for more laws. That is where Real Gun Defense comes in. We make sure the information is verified, taught, and follows the legal guidelines. Some articles may conflict with another based on the difference of the trainer, not us.
Real Gun Defense (RGD) Focus
Our focus is going to be on self-defense. It is the most popular reason to buy a gun. As a result, it is the information needed most. We try to get a few new articles out each week. We try to include one of each training, legal aspects, self-defense articles, and products that work.
Unlike other affiliate sites that put out products based on Amazon reviews. We recommend products that we use, that trainers use, and books that we have read that contain real knowledge.
RGD Reviews is not here to sell you anything. This is a free site, run off of the sales of the book we wrote. Along with any donations made to the site. Some of the products listed we will earn a very small commission on. Like this week we earned 7 cents. So we don’t push products, we recommend products we have tested only. All the donations received will go to further training and site promotion.
Real Gun Defense (RGD) Goals
Our number one goal is to get every gun owner training information they can use to stay safe. We have multiple goals for the future of the site. The information portion will be never-ending. The primary goal at the moment is to get training to be a Defensive Shooting Instructor training. USCCA is the gold standard in training at the moment. Their programs are put together by some of the top self-defense trainers in the nation.
It is that type of information we hope to share with everyone here. We will be offering the USCCA e-learning certifications and local CPL training in St.Clair Country Mi. which can be purchased from the site. We will also be sharing that information with you for free; however, the USCCA is the only one that can certify you. It’s always better to get information first hand when possible. As a result, we will also be offering in-person training through the site for those local to us.
Finally, it is our intention to become an FFL dealer here on the site. Where we can offer you top reviewed guns, hardware, and products to assist you in your journey. We will be posting multiple beginner drills and more advanced drills based on a wide variety of trainers.
